I'm on my way to the on-arrival training in Viljandi celebrating my first week here in Estonia. And where to start?! These days have been a tremendously emotional rollercoaster. I arrived at Haapsalu bus station at 11:40 a.m. on September 15th, my mentor picked me up there a bit later and took me to my new home. I was there, alone, for about five hours and, sincerely, so many things crossed my mind: new country, new language, new home, new people, new job... Just starting from zero with big challenges. Of course, for a moment, I thought: "What are you doing here, Laura?".
However, from the second day on, everything has been getting better. My mates are fantastic and we've connected really quickly, kids at school are so lovely, I'm already adapted to our home, the town gets me fascinated...
I knew changes like this aren't easy at first, but you can't really imagine the feeling until the moment you actually experience it. Anyway, as I thought, it's just a matter of time. And it seems to be worth it!
